Returns

Due to the nature of our business, most items sold at The Trader are sold as-is and all sales are final unless otherwise noted at the time of purchase.

We carry a unique mix of:

  • Overstock merchandise
  • Customer returns
  • Consignment items
  • Vintage and pre-owned goods
  • Closeout and liquidation inventory

Because inventory changes rapidly and many items are one-of-a-kind, we generally do not offer refunds or exchanges.

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If you receive the wrong item from an online order or an item arrives significantly damaged beyond what was described, please contact us within 3 days of delivery at:

Please include:

  • Your order number
  • Photos of the item and packaging
  • A brief description of the issue

We will review the situation and work to make it right when appropriate.

Appliance & Tool Purchases

Many appliances, tools, and electronics are tested when possible, but all items are sold in used or surplus condition unless specifically stated otherwise. Customers are encouraged to inspect items before purchase.

Consignment Items

Consignment merchandise is sold on behalf of individual consignors and is final sale.

Online Orders

For approved online return requests, items must:

  • Be in the same condition received
  • Include original packaging when applicable
  • Be approved by The Trader prior to return shipment

Unauthorized returns will not be accepted.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are non-returnable:

  • Sale or clearance items
  • Consignment items
  • Seasonal merchandise
  • Custom or special-order items
  • Used items showing additional wear after purchase

Refund Processing

If a refund is approved, it will be issued back to the original payment method. Processing times may vary depending on your bank or credit card provider.
